Federal Rewrite of No Child Left Behind?
I know that many of you have already heard news that the federal government is getting close to revising the No Child Left Behind (otherwise known as the Elementary and Secondary Education Act or ESEA) legislation passed in 2002. Recently, The Huffington Post published an article discussing this legislation and what some of the proposed changes may look like. Revising the ESEA is an important decision and I hope that our elected officials on both sides of the aisle take a moment to consider how these changes impact schools at the local level. I will keep you up to date on any changes made to federal legislation as it relates to education at Gallatin Gateway School.
