Last week, the fifth graders had a special opportunity this week: to work with master sculptor Ott Jones! Fifth grade is starting their research on a native Montana animal for their Bronze Museum reports. Students choose an animal to research and sculpt. In Ms. Davis' class, fifth grade will be writing research reports about their chosen animal. Mr. Jones spent three days in the classroom, teaching students about animal anatomy, artistic composition, and basic principles of sculpting with clay. The students were enthusiastic about the fact that they had a world-class artist teaching them. Mr. Jones has sculptures all over Montana, as well as in the White House and even in the Queen of England's collection. Check out our pictures with Ott Jones and our beautiful sculptures! You can see them in real life at the Bronze Museum presentations on December 10.
